Fresno State quarterback Paul Pinegar has been selected as a semifinalist of the 2005 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award.
He joins Kevin Sweeney, Trent Dilfer, and David Carr as Fresno State quarterbacks named as finalists for the award. Sweeney finished second in the voting in 1986 behind Heisman Trophy winner Vinny Testaverde.
