No Letdowns: Fresno State at Nevada

One would think that after such a hard-fought game with the No. 1 team in the country; there would have to be a letdown the following week. Pat Hill and Fresno State are trying to avoid a letdown, as their main goal of an outright Western Athletic Conference title is very attainable.

Nevada has secured their first winning season since 1998, the last year they beat the Bulldogs, and still have a chance to win the WAC title, too. Chris Ault has restored the winning tradition in just his second year after returning to the head coaching position. His pistol offense has been a key in the resurgence. It is unique to college football as the quarterback, is neither under center nor in shotgun formation, stands about three feet behind center to receive the snap.
