The Bulldog Sports Network

As I was starting to read the weekly football release, this morning, I came across the heading, BSN on the Air. WTF? BSN? The Bulldog Sports Network.

The new Bulldogs Sports Network hits the air this weekend, televising the Fresno State vs. Idaho game. BSN was born with a new television agreement between Fresno State Athletics and Bulldog Sports Properties. Longtime broadcasting team Ralph Wood and Randy Rosenbloom will be calling the action. BSN will also do the Fresno State vs. Nevada game on Nov. 26 and several Bulldog men's basketball contests. The games will be shown locally on KFRE WB 59. -from gobulldogs.com

It sounds great, but is it anything different from what Bulldog fans are used to? The athletic department needs to step up to the plate, and offer live web streaming of every game. In this age of technology there is no excuse for Fresno State taking a backseat to say a New Mexico State in media relations. Last week's game against Utah State should have been available on some sort of live web streaming or on a tape delayed basis on the new Bulldog Sports Network.

I will get excited when I see something different, than Ralph Wood and Randy Rosenbloom broadcasting weak productions on local television.

The Utah State game was broadcast on ESPN360 live. Check the WAC football website and on the bottom right side it shows the games and the icons on each game show if video is available....sometimes it is the rivals own video site or ESPN360. Good luck...Go Dogs
