The Aggies

Fresno State is 11-0 all time versus the New Mexico State Aggies. Their last meeting was a Big West conference game in Las Cruces on October 19, 1991. Fresno State won 42-28. New Mexico State enters this years game just like 1991, 0-5 and a heavy underdog.

Fresno State entered the game in 1991 5-0 and leading the nation in total offense and scoring offense. The Bulldogs struggled somewhat in the first half against New Mexico State that afternoon, and found themselves in a dogfight. It was homecoming and the Aggies were playing their best half of football all year. The Aggie crowd literally doubled after halftime to root on the home team's surprising gameplay. The Aggies success didn't last long. Fresno State shut down New Mexico State in the second half and came away with the win.

Will Fresno State suffer a first half slip in Las Cruces this year? California struggled early against the Aggies on September 23, but the Bulldogs should roll.
