'Dogs on Slocum's List

Clovis East (Clovis, Ca) all-state running back Tracy Slocum is narrowing down his list of schools.

Cal, UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State, and Fresno State are on top of his list. He claims offers from Washington State and Nebraska, as well.

"Fresno State is basically in my back yard. They are my hometown team. They are a really good program with a good offensive line. I think in the future you will see them coming up in the rankings," Slocum said.

Cal looks to be his favorite, followed closely by UCLA, but Fresno State is still in the running.

Slocum could contribute immediately for the Bulldogs next year. Fresno State loses senior running backs Bryson Sumlin, Wendell Mathis, and Matt Rivera. Next year's projected starters Dwayne Wright and Clifton Smith are recovering from knee injuries, and their durability is still unknown.
