Gameday

NMSU Game Preview

FS FB Press Release

Only about 10,000-12,000 fans are expected today in Las Cruces for the Fresno State-New Mexico State contest. Pat Hill is 13-1 when playing in front of crowds 19,000 or less.

There should be no doubt about the outcome of today's game. Fresno State is the better football team, and will run away with the victory. Today's game should help erase the memories of last year's loss at Louisiana Tech, and other tough October losses of year's past.

I am not dismissing the Aggies, they can play, but have lost by an average score of 37-13. Hal Mumme's pass happy offense might have success against Fresno State, and the game could be closer at halftime. Unfortunately, New Mexico State does not score early. The Aggies average less than 3 points a game during the first three quarters.

NCAA 06 Prediction

According to Sony Playstation's NCAA 06 Fresno State dominates early and blows out NMSU in a 48-14 win. Manny Sanchez records a sack, and returns a interception for a touchdown in the first quarter as the Bulldogs build a 21-0 lead early on.

Pinegar throws two interceptions, but it is moot, as Fresno State's run game gains over 250 yards on the ground.
