The Jayhawks are a Bunch of Pussies!

The University of Kansas backed out of last year's game in Fresno to secure three soft home games in non-conference play. The agreed to come to Fresno in 2009, with Fresno traveling to Lawrence in 2007. Well, it is not going to happen. Kansas associate athletic director Larry Keating announced the home and home series will not take place.

So who is at fault? Is this Kansas' doing or Fresno State's? Of course gobulldogs.com is still listing Kansas as a future opponent, but it also lists San Diego State as home games in the next 4 years, which are not going to happen either. I would hate to think Thomas Boeh would cut ties with the only BCS school to agree with a home and home with Bulldogs in the Pat Hill era. My guess is the Jayhawks are just a punch of pussies.

Their 2005 non-conference was a joke and this year's non-conference schedule's toughest game is at Toledo. The 2007 schedule is by the easiest of the three. It has four games, all at home, against: Central Michigan, Southeastern Louisiana, Toledo and Florida International. Head Coach Mark Mangino is taking the easy road to bowl games. Win those four and the Jayhawks only need to win two conference games to be bowl eligible. Why take a chance against Fresno State at home and get whipped? Pussy!

What else am I going to think? FS was supposed to host Kansas last year in their first home season opener against a BCS team and agreed to move the game at Mangino's request. Now, the series is toast. Is it Boeh or is KU? I say KU.

Who cares. Kansas sucks year after year, and you don't rebuild a program by scheduling tough non-conference teams. The Dogs will find someone better to fill those spots, just like USC was a suprise last year and LSU for this coming year. Those are the teams the Dogs need to beat if they're going to make a name for themselves. Nobody nationally would care if Fresno State beat Kansas.

Kansas is not a national name per se, but the Jayhawks went to a bowl game last year and had one of the best defenses in the nation.

This year KU has a good chance to win anywhere from 8 to 11 games, if they can replace their defensive players. Mangino is building a decent program, and KU had a good chance to be ranked in 2007 and 2009.

K State was a joke for such a long time and Snyder turned KSU into a national power in less than 10 years. KU is headed in that direction, especially in their scheduling philosophy.

Exactly. That's the K-State did. Schedule cream puffs and take their chances in the Big 12. It's doesn't matter if it was the ex-No AD or Mangino who pulled the plug on the Dogs. It didn't make too much sense for them to play No St. The Dogs need to focus on winning the WAC and beating the tough unbeatable teams that are so good they don't care who they play like USC and LSU.
