Quit Whining about the Ducks and Bring on the Rockets.......................

Toledo has been one of the more successful non-BCS schools in recent years. The Rockets last had a losing season in 1993. The Rockets are flying under the radar this year, but are still the defending Mid-American conference champs.

Toledo was a
preseason top 25 team last year by many publications. The Sporting News, Street & Smiths, CNN/SI, Blue Ribbon, and Gold Sheet all had Toledo in their preseason polls before the season began.

This year's Rockets are every bit as good as last year, if not better. The reason the Rockets are not getting the same hype as last year, is they flopped in their first two games last year against BCS opponents. Minnesota beat Toledo 63-21, and Kansas was even worse, getting beat 63-14.

The media has backed off the Rockets this year, but quarterback
Bruce Gradkowski is all Bulldog fans need to know about. Gradkowski will be the best quarterback to set foot in Bulldog Stadium since the gentlemen who is getting his jersey retired , the night the Rockets come to town.

This will be the first meeting between Toledo and Fresno State, but the Rockets have played in Bulldog Stadium twice before. Toledo represented the MAC in the first ever Cal Bowl in 1981 and again in 1984.

Bulldog fans whine about Fresno State getting no respect. Toledo finished 2000 10-1, including a 24-6 win at Penn State in the season opener, but finished the season unranked. Their only loss was at 9-3 Western Michigan.

Can't wait for the Rockets.
