It's Gameday (Finally)
I was surfing the internet last night and I stumbled across a few facts that to me were interesting to say the least.
1) Fresno State has not played a game in 244 days.
2) Fresno State has not won a game in 294 days. Yes it's almost been one year since we have won a game.
3) In the last six seasons Fresno State is 29-5 at home.
With all of these being facts you would hope that tonight Bulldog stadium will be filled to capacity. Unfortunately reports have 37,000 tickets sold for the game as of this morning. I really hope Fresno fans prove me wrong today by showing up in full force for this game. Anyhow enough ranting and raving about the Bulldogs fan support, it's gameday.
Today is a day that all of us fans wait for every season. We have to wait eight months for Fresno Sttae to suit up and run onto the field every year. Is it me or does the off-season seem longer every year? This Fresno State team has a chance to be one of the better Bulldog teams to ever step onto the field. This Bulldog team has a chance to make us forget about the David Carr years (which everyone seems to reference when talking about the good times). More importantly this Fresno State team has a chance to play a complete season without a let down. Because the 2006 season is full of tough opponents Fresno State will have to be at the top of their game every week. The Bulldogs will not be able to have off weeks that have become so common in the past years. This Bulldog team wil be focused because of the failures of the past. Show up tonight and you will see a different Bulldogs team than we have witnessed in the past. This team wil play defense, run the ball efficiently, and in the end win the hearts of the fans. It all begins tonight at Bulldog stadium. Be there and you will see exactly what I am talking about.
By the way I put a picture of Fresno State vs. Boise at the top because that is the last game we won. It's hard to believe it has been that long isn't it.
