The Go To Reciever

Fresno State has a recieving core that may be the deepest in overall ability and talent. Something we have not really seen here in Fresno. I cant recall the last time we had a team that had 6 recievers that could bust a play at any moment during a game. I believe that this is what we will have as just one of our weapons on offense. With the experienced Chastin West leading the way to the inexperienced Darren Newborne, they will have the speed and the hands to be the go to reciever. So the question is, which one of them will step up and be the main man? They all have the ability to do so.

I've been a huge fan since I was five, walking to and from every home game with my dad. For the past few years, the Oregon game has been the height for me. But somehow we seem to have "the best yet," every year. Something has to give. Can a clan led by a soph. really be the best yet? Better than one led by Bernard Berean in 2001? Or Paul and friends in 2005?

We're going to have a largely untested team led by a QB who still floated a fair share of interceptions in the spring games. I'm worried.

the 2007 unit has talent but is far from being the best yet...

West, Moore, Crawley and Ajirotutu are all big, strong and fast guys...FS has not had a quartet this big and talented since the early 90s with Seabron-Floyd, Winans, Ross and Harris...that unit didn't peak until they were juniors...

Not true Seabron was good as a sophomore so was Ross.
Also in that group was a guy named Charlie Jones and a redshirt named Brian Roberson, oh i forgot David Dunn.
That 1991-94 era is the best ever and may never be duplicated due to the fact of offensive philosophy and QB.

I didn't say Seabron and Ross weren't good but they were not starters as sophomores and had their best seasons as juniors...Seabron got hurt his senior year and Ross missed '93 and returned in '94 a shadow of his former self

Jones was a redshirt in '91 and was not part of that class, he played in the same era but was not part of the '89 recruiting class that were sophs in '91...

Dunn didn't sign until spring of 93

Roberson was still in high school in '91 he signed in spring of '92.

otherwise you could add Paul Williams, Joe Fernandez, Adam Jennings, Devon Wylie, Jamel Hamler and whoever FS signs in 08 in the same breath with aformentioned foursome's projected success and say this group might be better...
